February 6 11:00am at Krohn Conservatory Canceled
Worms Way will be making a presentation which will be followed by our meeting, lunch and a self guided tour of the conservatory for those who would like to walk around. Bring a brown bag lunch.

March 6 11am at the new West Chester Public Library
HOSTA-HOSTA-HOSTA Question and answer roundtable led by Jane Kozlowicz. We will discuss planting techniques, growing hosta in sun and other topics. HSGC sponsor and pottery artist Theresia Siemer will be our guest.
We will also have a spaghetti lunch!

March 19, 20 Hosta College

April 24 Saturday 10am at Marvin's Organic Gardens
Marvin will give a presentation on shade plants and new plants for 2010. Marvin's is the tri-state's only USDA certified organic nursery and garden center. Visit and you'll understand why they call it a place where both plants and people blossom!
No lunch is scheduled at this time although Houston's Inn is just down the road and has a great salad bar.

May 22 Saturday 12pm in the Grage garden 7215 Adena Ct, West Chester, OH
This will be our annual auction with a chicken lunch provided by HSGC and side dishes and desserts provided by the members. Please remember the auction as you move and divide plants this spring! Ask for donations from your favorite shopping centers. In exchange, we will make them a sponsor of HSGC and include them on our website.
Bring a dish to share and a chair!

July 17 Saturday 11am Garden of Marvin Collins and Dean Colville 6647 Hitching Post Lane, Cincinnati, OH 45230
This garden was on our 2008 East Side Garden Tour and was one you wouldn't forget! Steps lead into the shady wooded area and a winding pathway that goes past beds of shrubs and an array of perennials, a beaver pond, and a bridge crossing a stream of gigantic petasites. Statuary, whimsical figures and water features meet you along the way. Did we wet your appetite? Don't miss this meeting. We are asking that you gather in their front yard and we will all go as a group to the back patio area.

August 7 Saturday All day bus tour of the Miami Valley Hosta Society member gardens.
Yes, you are reading this correctly—Two bus trips in one year! You know how it is—you travel great distances to see something really cool and forget about what's in your own backyard!
