	12:00 noon - Brown bag lunch and Q&A with Grage, Demetriou, Gourley and Kozlowicz. Business meeting followed by Joan Day’s Trough Magic talk presented at the 2007 AHS Conference.The budget for 2008 will be submitted for approval. This meeting is at the Cincinnati Civic Garden Center on Reading Road.

11:00 am Natorp Garden Center 5373 Merten Drive, Mason OH What’s New in Perennials? Natorp staff will talk about what iss new for 2008. Directions; 275 to I71 North,, Exit 19 Mason Montgomery Road. Turn Left and go three lights. Turn left on Merten Dr.

Saturday March 15
	Hosta College 2008 will be held at Piqua, Ohio, an hour and a half drive from Cincinnati. Many of our members attend this educational event and serve as instructors. An excellent event for hosta novices. Pre-registration is required.The Hosta College website can be found at Hosta College

Tuesday, April 8
6:00 pm Cox Arboretum 6733 Springboro Pike, Miamisburg OH This will be a joint meeting with the Miami Valley Hosta Society. At 7:00 pm, guest speaker Mark Zillis, author of that wonderful Hosta Handbook, will present Hostas of Distinction. Mark will be selling copies of the new edition. Refreshments will be provided. *Reservation are required.

Saturday May 3

11:00 am J.D. Hooks & Gretchen Garret 6750 N. State Route 48, Springboro OH Jacque Eccles will present New Annuals and Container Gardening. Jacque is the best when it comes to putting together a beautiful container. Her place has a wonderful old greenhouse brimming over with garden treasures. We will have a Panera lunch delivered to the garden. We will provide you with a map to local garden centers in the area. Sound like this could be an all day adventure. I love when that happens! *Reservation for lunch required.

Saturday May 31
The annual GCHDS Cut Leaf Show will be held at the Northgate Mall. Participants start preparing their leafs at 7:30 am, Leaf judging starts about 10:30 with open viewing by the public at the end of judging. This is an American Hosta Society sanctioned show. This is a good opportunity to see many varieties of hosta.

Sunday, June 8
	BUS TRIP this is going to be a real treat! Zanesville, Ohio here we come! We will be touring Bert Hendley’s garden. Bert’s gardens were featured in the book, The Well Tended Perennial Garden. Joan Day and Peter Zales have a fun garden day planned for us. Nearby garden centers will also be included. More details to follow as the time draws near. *Reservation required — 47 reservations!

June 11 to 14
American Hosta Society Convention in St. Louis, MO. Many of our members will be attending this national event and getting together there for a good time and touring some outstanding hosta gardens in that area. For complete details go to: CONVENTION FLIER

Saturday, July 12
	East Side Garden Tour Day! This is going to be a good one. We have seven beautiful gardens for you to tour. Directions and time will be mailed about two weeks prior to the tour date. All of the gardens are about 15 minutes from the Demtrious garden. Please feel free to tell other garden clubs and your friends about the tour.

Wednesday August 13

6:30 pm to 8:30 pm An evening at the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Gardens with Steve Foltz. Our Zoo is a wonderful resource for plant information. Check out these websites www.planttrials.com . 12:00 Noon Jeff and Maureen Eller Garden 14452 Spangler Road, Dillsboro, Indiana It’s our 7th Annual Hosta, Plant and Garden Accessory Auction! We supply the chicken — you bring a pot luck and lots of money. Never too early to start asking for donations. This is always a highlight of our gardening year! We encourage all of you to visit this beautiful garden in the country. We will set up carpooling for all members who want to attend but do not want to drive

Saturday October 25 3:00 pm Montgomery Inn 9440 Montgomery Road, Montgomery Ohio Join us along with the Miami Valley Hosta Society in welcoming Reggie Millette from Quebec, Canada. Reggie has written several books and he has a real passion for gardening. Reggie is also known for his photography. He will be presenting a wonderful program. Reggie’s garden has also been featured on HGTV program, A Gardener’s Diary. Cost is $20 per person. *Reservation required.
